So over the last weekend, we decided to put together the nursery in our house. We had slowly been assembling parts that would go in it, like the crib and the playpen, and we ordered new bedding from ebay. Once the bedding came, we were too excited to wait, so we hurried off to Lowes and bought some paint that matches one of the greens in the bedding material, and came home and got to work.
We had previously painted the room all white, but there was still some extra stuff to be done. We had to go around and paint all the baseboards white, as they were previously an ugly purple color. Then we marked and taped the walls where the color stripe would be, and painted it in. After the paint was (mostly) dry, we peeled off the tape, and voila!! It looked great. We then shampooed the carpets and got them all clean and nice, and while that was drying, we ran to target and bought a crib mattress. Once we got home, we set up the crib, got all the bedding in place, and finished up the last touches on the room like the soft pictures and the name you see in the stripe. We're pretty excited and happy with how it turned out. :)
